7 MOVEMENTS TO MASTER

Functional movements serve to help us survive day-to-day life. It’s the stuff we do that we don't even think of as exercise; picking up heavy boxes, pushing a couch while re-arranging the living room, walking to the grocery store, even moving heavy equipment across our bodies rotating our torsos to do so are all functional movements that we can practice and improve our chances of not getting hurt in every day life. Let’s be real, we all know someone who hurt their back picking up a heavy box, or doing something “they shouldn’t have.” That isn’t necessarily true. If our bodies can perform the movement, there is a proper way to do it. Biomechanists prove it on the daily. That being said, if I were given the ultimatum of choosing a handful of exercises that I were to choose to perform for the rest of my life, here is the list and why I would perform them…
